ELECTRICAL SAFETY INFORMATION WHAT YOU AND SHOP OWNERS NEED TO KNOW
|
NOW CHAPS THIS IS WHY WE CHARGE A FEW DOLLARS EXTRA IT COST US A GRAND TOTAL OF $15800.00 AND THREE WEEKS OF LAB TESTING TO COMPLY WITH ELECTICAL SAFETY AND C-TICK.
C-TICK costs a massive $800 and basically states your charger will not interfere with other electrical products like your cordless phone. The logo is the circle with the tick in it. It is currently being phased out due to copying.
What you might not know is that factories throughout the world just copy the logo and throw it on chargers. In itself C-Tick really doesn't matter it's not going to cause your house to burn down. Factories copy all the logos and safety numbers and design an Australian looking plug and will try to sell to you. They will swear black and blue "yes we have C-tick" they are safe. C-Tick is useless by itself; it's the electrical safety that burns houses down.
See the black charger below that was a sample testing unit that a factory told us was ok. "yes we have C-tick" it even had a 240volt marking, we sent 8 units for testing to a lab. They were 110volt and literally blew of the socket lab test wall.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Electrical safety involves testing the battery and charger combination to Australian Safety standards it is mandatory and involves;

|
Our current charger is fully approved in both Electrical Safety and C- tick the lab testing folder in the photo is over 1" thick with six safety certificates.
How do tell? Ask the supplier for a copy of their Electrical Safety Compliance for Australia or ring your local Authorities . Nitelights Approval Number is Q061232 Queensland Government Department of Industrial Relations is printed on our charger.
Why this information: If you buy a non compliant item without electrical safety your house insurance is void if the device causes electrical fire. You or the shop you purchased is liable for buying a non electrically compliant item... We don't think it's worth risking your families safety and home on unsafe products.
