Hi Folks,
Dave and Raynie here, we are locals to sunny Canberra and have 15 years of night riding experience and 11 years of light development. Nitelights came about in 2008 when cree emitters where first introduced into bicycle lights.
Dave currently races with MTB with CORC (Canberra Off Road Cycles) and ACT Vets road club both in Masters Men mtb and A Grade Road.
Racing History
Dave was sponsored by Polar Heart Rate monitors from 1994 to 2010 and has raced in everything from MTB to Triathlons - fastest 5km run 15.05min fastest 10km run 31.20min. (I'm a busted up old guy with a dodgy ankle now - doesn't stop me riding) Dave was also fortunate enough to win both the 2012 ACT Masters MTB and the 2012 MTBO Orienteering. (both in the old guys category) In 2016, Dave also won the CORC (Canberra Off Road Cycling) - Masters Series - These wins largely depend on who turns up.
Why would you buy lights off someone that doesn't ride MTB?
Training - 9 to 12 hours a week - 29 January 2018

Night racing experience
Dave's first night race was the SCOTT24HR race in 1997 with a home made light system at Stromlo Forest Park. We have both trained and raced night races all over Australia. The majority of Raynie's races are MTBO, Raynie is currently the volunteer coordinator for the MONT24 and works full time at Pedal Power in the ACT as an event manager. Nitelights sponsors; THE MONT24 / SCOTT24 / SCHOOL CHAMPS / DIRTDEFEMME + lots of others events.
If your in your late 30's 40's you are probably aware that light sets were ridiculously priced at $650 to $900 a set at only 500 lumen and used to last 1hr MAX. We rode with a bunch of guys who got tired of paying massive prices - hey presto NITELIGHTS was born. We released 900 lumen for $220 with a 3 hr burn time. (double the lumen and 1/4 of the price)
Who we sponsor
Nitelights proudly supports Solder On & Kids Cancer charities we also donate lights at major races for charity auctions including last years 2017 MONT24.
Why us
Better switches, plugs that don't fail and excellent battery quality.
Last plug failure - in 2016 we haven't had one. Last battery failure - over a year none in 2017.
Our biggest battle is explaining electrical safety and battery quality . The lights sold on this site have been produced with the best features of all the lights I have seen "you don't have to mortgage the house to own a quality light set" All I can say is we have one battery back this year as of 3 Sept 2015. You get what you pay for you can buy a battery for $7 from China we pay up to $14 a cell from Japan there are 4 cells in a pack....
The end
I know what its like to sweat it out waiting for something to be fixed and sent back on time before the next big event we will do our best to support you with warranty based problems and have them sorted out ASAP. Check out our feedback and reviews ask every-ware we fix everything.
Anyway enough from me‘ happy riding!
